The 43rd European Study Group with Industry was held at Lancaster University, 2-5th April 2002, and was supported by the Faraday Partnership for Industrial Mathematics, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the London Mathematical Society.

The meeting was opened by Prof Richard Davies, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Lancaster University. The local organizers, Prof Robin Tucker and Dr Charles Wang, provided all the necessary support to ensure a highly successful outcome to an intensive few days, during which eight problems were tackled, the details of which are available by following the links below. The presenting companies were Nan Gall Technology, Unilever, Xaar, Acordis Acrylic Fibres, QinetiQ (2 problems), J-Omega and Numbercraft. The meeting also included a one-day special interest workshop on the textile industry, supported by MACSI-net.
