The 64th European Study Group with Industry was held at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh from 7th April to 11th April 2008, supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the KTN for Industrial Mathematics.

The Study Group followed the usual format of industrial problem presentations on the first day, followed by intensive work on the problems by participants during the next three days and presentations by the academics on the final day. A report on each problem is ready and they are available from this list.

The Heriot-Watt event handled six problems. The participating companies were National Grid, E.ON, Unilever, Reliable Data Systems, Motorola and The Actuarial Profession. The problem descriptions as presented to the Study Group are available here.
