The 73rd European Study Group with Industry was held at the University of Warwick in Coventry from 12th April to 16th April 2010, supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the KTN for Industrial Mathematics.

New to the Study Group since 2009 is the use of social networks to support industrial mathematics. The social network has been designed to allow remote contributions to problems. The site contains problem descriptions (as they become available) and discussion areas including an archive of discussions held in 2009. To access the social network content please sign-up, which simply involves filling out a short form, and receiving a confirmatory email from the Industrial Mathematics KTN.

Problem descriptions are available on both the social network detailed above and the official 73rd ESGI website.

The Study Group followed the usual format of industrial problem presentations on the first day, followed by intensive work on the problems by participants during the next three days and presentations by the academics on the final day. Final reports will be available soon.

If you are interested in this initiative and wish to receive further details, please contact Dr David Allwright.
