Confidentiality Agreement template
The Industrial Mathematics KTN strongly recommends that a symmetric Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) be put in place and signed by the four parties in the Internship: the Research Group, the Intern, the Host Company and the Industrial Mathematics KTN.
A template NDA is available below. A Word version is available on request.
No transfer of Intellectual Property is involved in the Internship. Any IP generated during the project should be free for each party to use in accordance with the signed NDA. In any downstream collaboration resulting from the Internship, the partners are free to negotiate new arrangements if they wish.
The Industrial Mathematics KTN has prepared a set of Ground Rules which are effectively a set of informal terms and conditions and their intention is to ensure that all parties have an agreed understanding of what the Internship is seeking to achieve and how it will operate.
The Intern will produce a short summary of the project in the form of a case study, approved by the Host Company, for dissemination via the Industrial Mathematics KTN website at the end of the Internship. There will in general be other, more extensive reports of the work carried out, which may or may not be placed in the public domain.
