To help the UK fuel cell community optimise its response to the Technology Strategy Board £10 million Fuel Cell and Hydrogen R&D call, the Low Carbon and Fuel Cell KTN (LCFCKTN) held a partnering event in January 2009. The aims of the event were to stimulate the development of new collaborations and project ideas to bid into the Call.
Following the event, the project ideas have been collated, and these are now available on the LCFCKTN website as a resource for any members who may be interested in exploring partnering opportunities. Please note that the projects listed have not been selected for funding; they are proposals for which the named organisations are seeking collaborative partners and / or specific expertise. Anyone interested in any of the opportunities that are detailed should contact the organisations in question directly to discuss opportunities.
The projects in modelling are:
- ABSL Power Solutions Ltd - Hydrogen Storage sub-system footprint modelling;
- Rail Safety and Standards Board - Rail Passenger Traction: Modelling, System Design and Bench Test;
- Renuda - Bipolar plates: Computational tools for analysis, modelling and simulation to support the development of novel materials and designs.
If you have another project idea, and are looking for partners, LCFCKTN would be happy to discuss this with you and explore options. Please contact LCFCKTN for guidance.
Copies of other materials from the day, including presentations, details of the Technology Strategy Board call, (which formally opens on 16 March 2009) and delegate profiles can be found on the LCFCKTN website.
