Launch of the medium term Technology Strategy

On 26 April 2006 the Technology Strategy Board launched the medium term Technology Strategy "Developing UK Capability". The Industrial Mathematics KTN coordinated input to the section on Modelling and Simulation in the Key Technology Area of ICT.

Roadmap cover The Technology Strategy Board have identified Modelling and Simulation as a target area for the Technology Strategy. In April 2006 the Technology Strategy Board launched six medium term strategies in Key Technology Areas:
  • Advanced Materials
  • Bioscience and Healthcare
  • Design Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing
  • Electronics and Photonics
  • Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
  • Sustainable Production and Consumption
Building on UK strengths in Modelling and Simulation is one of the targets within the area of ICT.

The Industrial Mathematics KTN supported the development of the Technology Strategy in this area by coordinating input from industry and academia. Further information is available here.<.td>
