5th IMA Conference on Mathematics in Transport, London, 12-14 April 2010

The 5th IMA Conference on Mathematics in Transport will take place on 12-14 April 2010 at the Centre for Transport Studies, University College London.

The conference will bring together academics and practitioners with an interest in the application of mathematics within all aspects of transport planning, management and analysis. Papers are sought that describe novel applications of mathematical or statistical methods applied to any mode or form of transport.

Topics to be included within the conference will apply branches of mathematics such as:

  • statistical or mathematical analysis of real or theoretical systems;
  • developments of solution, optimisation or control algorithms;
  • improved approaches to planning, scheduling or operations management;
  • representation and modelling of complex systems;
to any mode or aspect of transport including (but not limited to) safety, energy, robustness, routing, tolling, signals, vehicle dynamics, logistics, reliability, environmental impact, demand responsive systems, crowd dynamics, choice modelling, distributed intelligence or mixed-mode flows.

Registration is now open on the IMA website.

General enquiries concerning conference arrangements should be sent to conferences@ima.org.uk.
