The IMA is holding a major one day conference on mathematics and its applications for the present day on 22 April 2010 at Saddlers' Hall, Gutter Lane, London.
The aim of the conference is to bring together people with an interest in mathematics and its applications to consider current issues in the subject. The conference topics will cover research topics in mathematics; public understanding of mathematics and industrial applications of mathematics. These topics will be of interest to both mathematicians and those working with mathematicians as the presentations will address the impact of the work rather than emphasise its technical nature. The conference will give an opportunity for informal discussion between people who are interested in a variety of areas in mathematics. Details of the speakers and the programme are shown below.
This conference is the next in the series following successful conferences held in Manchester in 2005 and London in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Registration is now open on the IMA website.
