This workshop was an important step in developing the role of Modelling and Simulation within the Technology Strategy. Its objectives were to identify key business opportunities in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that will benefit most from modelling and simulation, and to outline the associated modelling challenges. The output from the workshop will be made available to related initiatives in the same area and will be developed further by the Industrial Mathematics KTN as appropriate opportunities arise.
