eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions. Additional information can be found at http://www.eduroam.org
All institutions and individual users are bound by the eduroam (UK) policy. To view the eduroam (UK) policy, please click here.
Anyone using eduroam must comply with the JANET eduroam policy and with the Conditions of Use in force at the visited institution. Where the policies and regulations differ the most restrictive applies.
To obtain a Smith Institute eduroam account please contact Caroline Edwards who can add a new account to the system. eduroam will need to be installed onto your laptop. To install eduroam, visit the eduroam CAT website, search for Smith Institute and select the appropriate installer to match the operating system for your laptop. Add your credentials when requested.
If you experience problems with eduroam when visiting an institution and require support, it is advised that you contact Caroline in the first instance, unless the problem is clearly a visited site WLAN failure.
